Martin Essenburg is Executive Director of the Keeley Center for Financial Services at DePaul University and a Senior Instructor of Finance, teaching courses in M&A, Valuation, Financial Modeling, and Credit Analysis. As Executive Director, he leads the Center’s undergraduate Academy program, preparing students for careers in Banking, Consulting, Investment Management, and Wealth Management, and oversees a conference series for industry professionals.

Martin brings 25+ years of banking experience in corporate finance, structured finance, and debt capital markets. At Standard Chartered Bank in London, he served as Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets (EMEA and Americas), Global Head of Asset Securitization, and CEO of SCB Securities. Previously, he was Senior Managing Director at Bank of America in London and held capital markets roles at Continental Bank in Chicago.

He holds a B.A. in Economics from Calvin College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.
